macOS 13 Ventura’s Second Beta Is Released By Apple

The second beta of the upcoming Mac operating system, macOS 13 Ventura, which is scheduled to debut this autumn, was seeded by Apple yesterday. After revealing the update at WWDC and giving the first beta to developers, Apple has now released the second beta.

Betas are available through the Software Update feature in System Preferences after the proper profile has been installed, and registered developers can get them through the Apple Developer Center.

Stage Manager is a new feature in macOS Ventura that lets users concentrate on one activity while keeping other apps available for quick task switching. With the addition of Continuity Camera, you can now utilize your iPhone as a webcam for your Mac. Center Stage, Workspace View (for displaying your desk), and Studio Light are supported.

FaceTime now supports Handoff, allowing you to switch calls between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac anytime. Messages also offer the ability to mark an iMessage as unread, unsend it, and mark it as unread. The Messages app now supports SharePlay as well.

New Weather and Clock apps are available on the Mac, and the Mail software supports scheduling and undoing emails for up to 10 seconds after they are sent. System Settings, formerly known as System Preferences, has an iOS-inspired interface.

Safari supports Shared Tab Groups, and Apple is developing Passkeys, a password-replacing next-generation credential. Updates to Spotlight, new additions to Photo Library, and Metal 3 are all included in macOS Ventura to improve game graphics.

We have a comprehensive roundup that goes over every new feature in macOS 13 Ventura. Apple will release a public beta of macOS Ventura in July, although it is now only available to developers.
