The depth inside every drawing
Engineering drawings contain far more than what you can see at first glance.
When an experienced estimator looks at a drawing, it can see an object, find its context, check its references, cross-check the information and determine what it means for the estimate. The difficult part is understanding everything connected to that object.
Each element on a drawing carries information about what it is, where it is, what describes it, what it connects to, where it is referenced, and how it affects the work being performed.
And that information is rarely contained in one place. That is the depth CADIAM™ is designed to capture.

What CADIAM™ reads
Every drawing type in the pack, read in one pass
A real drawing package mixes P&IDs, plans, elevations, schedules, part drawings and revisions. Each one goes to the agent built for it, and every value comes back tied to its source on the sheet.
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Equipment, instrument and line tags on every page
- Valves and line numbers
- Parent → child asset hierarchy, built automatically
- Tags with no parent flagged for review
- Equipment list, instrument index and line list, CMMS-ready
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Rooms traced, with area in SF
- Rooms grouped and color-coded by class
- Doors, windows and fixtures counted
- Every quantity cites its sheet
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Window sizes and heights read from the elevations
- Mulled units split into their panes
- Door, window and fixture schedules read as tables
- Plans cross-referenced with elevations
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Title block and revision
- GD&T frames and datums
- Surface finish and notes
- Cost-driver features as structured rows
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Bill of materials rolled up across the whole pack
- Per-item provenance back to the drawing
- Excel, CSV or JSON output
What CADIAM™ pulls out
- Geometry deltas between Rev N and Rev N+1
- Every reviewer comment verified against the new revision
- Deltas ranked Critical to Low
- Each delta linked to its source coordinate

What CADIAM™ actually does
CADIAM™ turns drawings into a layer of engineering intelligence. It sits between engineering documentation and the applications that depend on it, taking information that exists visually, textually, spatially, and relationally inside drawings and progressively turning it into structured intelligence.
AI Blueprint Classifier can then use that intelligence to find, extract, compare, reason, classify, calculate and act. CADIAM™ builds an understanding of the drawing, and that understanding becomes a reusable intelligence layer. The same underlying intelligence can power different engineering applications without each application having to start from the drawing again.
CADIAM™ progressively builds depth into engineering documentation.
Data Layer
The information contained in the drawing.Drawing files, plans, P&IDs, schedules, specifications, annotations, dimensions, text, geometry, symbols, and other source information.
Semantic Layer
A structured representation of what the engineering details mean.CADIAM™ identifies and organizes engineering objects, their attributes, classifications, properties, and the context in which they appear.
Intelligence Layer
A deeper understanding of how the information connects.CADIAM™ establishes spatial, semantic, and cross-sheet relationships between objects and information. It connects the details that may be distributed across drawings to create a deeper representation of the engineering documentation.
Agentic AI & Agents
Intelligence that can perform specialized work.Agentic AI uses the intelligence created by CADIAM™ to perform specialized tasks, follow multi-step workflows, retrieve relevant information, and produce workflow specific outputs.
Workflow Products
Turning engineering intelligence into business value.AI Blueprint Classifier applies CADIAM™ intelligence to real engineering workflows, including AI Takeoff, P&ID Intelligence, BOM Generation and custom engineering workflows.
Beyond detection
The depth of CADIAM™
Finding an object is only the beginning.
Consider something as simple as a window on an architectural drawing. A basic system may be able to detect a rectangle and identify it as a window. But an estimator knows that identifying the window is only the first step.
CADIAM™ goes deeper by building an understanding of the information surrounding that window. It looks at what the object is, what information describes it, where it is located, and how it connects to the rest of the drawing.
